The council then nominated and voted for Juan Allen to serve as mayor; Allen nominated Lisa Shannon as vice mayor and the council approved both appointments by voice vote.
Council members offered personal thanks to Craig for his service; the meeting proceeded to commission reports and routine business after the reorganization.
