Superintendent designee Dr. Iver introduced athletic director Jason Kepler, who praised the coaching staff and students for performance on the field and in the classroom.
"When checking these grades...they had a 3.8 GPA and about 230 A's in all the classes that they took together," Jason Kepler said, noting the group's academic and athletic success. Coach Alexander introduced individual student achievements, naming relay qualifiers Chloe Clachey, Lindsay Magyar and Hannah Gika; Hannah was singled out as the state 1,600 champion and will run at Villanova.
Board members congratulated the students and coaches and led sustained applause. The recognitions were presented as part of the opening agenda and required no board action.
