Council appoints Liz Lawler and Donna Tam to Site & Architecture Commission

The Monte Sereno City Council voted unanimously to appoint Liz Lawler and Donna Tam to fill two vacancies on the Site & Architecture Commission for the 2026–2027 term.
Former mayor Liz Lawler introduced herself and said wildfire safety and preserving residents’ property rights are priorities: "My goal for site and architecture is to not only ensure that our community is safe, from wildfire and with respect to evacuation routes and architecture, but also, most importantly, ... to preserve and protect our residents' right to enjoy their property," she said.
Donna Tam, an incumbent who said she has served the commission for the last 1.5 years, also spoke about community service and balancing preservation with appropriate development. A third applicant was not present online. Council members nominated and approved Liz Lawler and Donna Tam by voice vote and congratulated them on their appointments.
