Planners propose Hagerty, Ford and Plymouth route adjustments to reach job centers and schools

Adrianna Jordan described a set of targeted route adjustments meant to better serve job concentrations and school campuses identified in the existing‑conditions analysis. She said the Hagerty route, as originally mapped by SMART, "was skirting the downtown of Plymouth," and recommended routing it through downtown Plymouth and by the Plymouth‑Canton Educational Park to serve ~6,000 students.
Jordan also recommended adjusting the Plymouth Road routing to travel down Ann Arbor Road to serve the Ann Arbor & Haggerty intersection — the area planners found had the highest concentration of jobs — and to shift the Ford Road route west toward Cherry Hill Village and Ypsilanti to create a Washtenaw County connection. The planners emphasized these are suggested modifications to SMART’s proposed routes to better match local job and school destinations and said details (stop placement and hours) will require SMART coordination and further public input.
