Board approves $4,600 change order for annex tuckpointing as courthouse renovation proceeds

The Board approved Change Order No. 15 in the amount of $4,600 for additional tuckpointing work on the historic annex of the Meriwether County Courthouse. County Administrator John Gorton said the work would be paid from the project contingency and that approval would leave $7,788.50 in contingency funds.
Gorton reported the third-floor courtroom had been gutted and exterior drywall removed; PENCO had performed demolition and the third floor was ready for remediation. Scaffolding around the Courthouse was being removed and River City representatives showed photographs of the annex after roof removal; River City27s Mr. Evans confirmed "it was" (the scaffolding) when asked.
Gorton said HVAC work was scheduled to begin Aug. 10 and that tree trimming and stump grinding around the Courthouse were scheduled for early and mid-August. The change order was approved and the Chair was authorized to sign the documents.
