At the meeting, Jered said the WAC (Wellness and Activity Center) has about 575 members and that student membership is growing though school-employee uptake on a new discount is limited. The department recently purchased a used treadmill for $2,000 to add to the cardio deck.
Jered told the board Wagner Park "is going to a jury trial on July 13," adding that a monetary settlement remains possible. He also described experimenting with Placer AI for marketing and reported a quoted cost of "$22,000 for the whole county to use it for a year," while Travis Cooper said the product can be useful but is very expensive.
