Resident asks whether hydrant siting for substation might help nearby well-dependent homes

During public comment, resident Tamara Karube asked whether the water-line or hydrant work requested by the fire official could be sited to benefit nearby houses that use private wells. Karube noted several houses to the west of the property are on wells and asked whether the hydrant location could be placed where it would serve them.
Civil engineer Jason Ringer said the water line runs along Trent Place and the applicant would coordinate with the fire bureau; PSE&G said it had no objection to working with fire officials on hydrant siting and would follow the fire bureau's recommendation. Board members told the commenter township staff or the fire official would follow up on hydrant location and whether it could provide ancillary service benefits to nearby homes.
