Catherine Kaczmarek was appointed Village Clerk at the July 27, 2026 Village Board meeting. The appointment followed the mayor’s nomination to fill the vacancy created by Gretchen Boerwinkle’s resignation as Clerk effective July 24, 2026. Trustee Michael Mistele made the motion and Trustee Mark Astrella seconded; the roll call vote recorded ayes from Trustees Astrella, Davi, Mistele and Neal and no nays.
Mayor Frank Trilla administered the Oath of Office to Kaczmarek. The Clerk noted her prior involvement with Parks and Recreation while offering condolences to the family of former Trustee Sue Berglund.
