Willowbrook mayor appoints Gretchen Boerwinkle to Village Trustee seat

Gretchen Boerwinkle was appointed to the Village of Willowbrook Board of Trustees on July 27, 2026, to fill the vacancy created by Trustee Sue Berglund’s resignation effective July 10, 2026. Trustee Umberto Davi moved the appointment and Trustee Mark Astrella seconded; the roll call vote recorded ayes from Trustees Astrella, Davi, Mistele and Neal and no nays. The motion was declared carried.
Mayor Frank Trilla administered the Oath of Office to Boerwinkle at the meeting. The appointment followed the Board's review and came before the Board approved other business on the July 27 omnibus agenda.
