County facilities staff presented and the commissioners approved three construction- and maintenance-related actions.
Resolution #228-26 authorized entry into a contract with Tooman Roofing & Painting, LLC for repair work on sections of the Hancock County Courthouse roof with a contract amount not to exceed $2,500. Resolution #229-26 approved change order #4 to the Bodie Mechanical Services, Inc., boiler replacement contract adding $2,012.04 for installation of a gravity damper at the Justice Center; Phil Johnson said Dan Klinger expects this to be the last item to complete the project. Resolution #230-26 authorized an agreement with Garland/DBS, Inc., for inspection and testing of the roof at the Job & Family Services building, not to exceed $3,000.
Each action was moved by Commissioner William Bateson, seconded by Commissioner Timothy Bechtol, and passed 3-0. The measures authorize procurement and small expenditures to conclude ongoing building projects and to locate sources of water intrusion at JFS.
