Travis presented a detailed operations calendar for the Nov. 3 general election and related municipal contests. The voter-registration deadline was noted as Oct. 5, which is also the first day regular civilian absentee ballots may be mailed; advance voting starts on the 13th with scheduled Saturday and Sunday advance voting days and the last day to request an absentee ballot set for Oct. 23.
Travis also reminded the board of procedural items the office has scheduled: the pre-certification meeting the board approved will be held on Nov. 6, the office will be closed on Nov. 11, the risk-limiting audit is set for Nov. 13, and a potential runoff would fall on Dec. 1 if needed. He urged staff and members to follow the established production and mailing timeline so the office can meet UOCAVA and absentee deadlines.
