Steger licenses new HVAC business, sets Halloween hours and OKs Oktoberfest liquor permit

Trustee Perchinski moved to approve the Dr. Air business license pending inspections; Trustee Thurmond seconded and the motion passed by roll call. The owner said the business will occupy the space formerly used by Community Heating and Cooling. On community events, Trustee Thurmond moved to set Halloween hours at 2–6 p.m. in neighborhoods and 6–9 p.m. at Veteran's Park; the board approved the schedule. The board also approved a two-day special-event liquor license for the American Legion for Sept. 27–28, with hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
The approved measures enable seasonal programming and a new local business to open pending standard inspections; minutes show unanimous board support for these community activities and permits.
