Council approves consent agenda and excuses absent member; mayor announces ribbon cuttings and ADA counter

At its March 17 meeting the East Wenatchee City Council approved the consent agenda, including Voucher Report 65042–65101 in the amount of $344,007.12 and minutes from Feb. 19 and March 3. “Motion by Councilmember Harrison to approve agenda, vouchers and minutes as presented. Councilmember Arnold seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously,” the minutes record.
Earlier in the meeting Councilmember Johnson moved to excuse Councilmember Magdoff; Councilmember Hepner seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The roll call listed Councilmembers Stimmel (Zoom), Arnold, Harrison, Castellente, Johnson and Hepner as present.
Mayor Jerrilea Crawford announced two upcoming ribbon cuttings: the Douglas County Waste Facility on March 19 at 1:00 p.m. on Batterman Road and the Community Advancement Family Education’s new building on March 24 at 4:00 p.m., and encouraged council attendance. She also reported that street department staff constructed a new ADA-accessible counter at City Hall to improve security and efficiency while saving costs. The minutes show no further formal actions on those announcements.
