Beaufort County opens ATAX grant window; mandatory applicant workshop set for Aug. 11

The Beaufort County Accommodations Tax (ATAX) Advisory Committee will accept applications for the FY2026–27 state ATAX grant program, the county bulletin said.
The broadcast stressed that attendance at a mandatory grant workshop is required for all applicant organizations; one representative must attend to make an application eligible. The mandatory workshop was listed for Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. in the Beaufort County Council Chambers; applications must be complete and submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, the notice said.
Questions were directed to the Beaufort County finance department at ATAX@BCgov.net. The bulletin noted that applications submitted without workshop attendance will not be accepted for review.
