Board approves Johnson Controls agreement to maintain building control systems
Summary

Administrators asked the board to approve a service agreement with Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) to maintain the district’s proprietary building-management control system and provide on-call support. Superintendent Jason Alexander said JCI ‘‘come[s] out and help us . . . make sure that we have the software updated’’ and that the agreement includes training and preventative maintenance visits.
The board approved the agreement after noting the $426 increase over last year. Administrators described the JCI work as distinct from general HVAC mechanical service because JCI supports the central control system that coordinates different heating and cooling units around the district.
