Discover Denison staff told the CVB Advisory Board that the organization's new website is live and is in a 30‑day punch‑list period; staff asked board members and local businesses to review listings, note duplicates and provide corrections so the site can be standardized. Staff also said they will provide training so businesses can update their own listings once approved.
Separately, staff announced a new visitor engagement product called Open World Discovery that will launch Aug. 19 and be piloted on Aug. 15 at an event at Lettuce Indulge. The app offers location‑based challenges and rewards for visiting businesses and attractions. "It was completely free to us, so we get to try this for several months for free," staff said, and asked board members to test the app and provide feedback during the pilot.
