Commission approves two Hall Road rezones for Nicks property

The Robertson County Commission on July 20 approved two rezoning requests from Carrie and Jamie Nicks for portions of a 3.1287-acre property at 6764 Hall Road.
Planning staff read the rezoning requests into the record: a request to rezone part of the parcel from AG2 to R40 and a separate request to rezone 2.1239 acres from AG2 to RP80. Hunter, the planning staff member who presented the applications, told the commission the planning commission recommended the first application by a 4–1 vote and the second by a 5–0 vote. The chair opened a public hearing and no members of the public spoke.
Commissioner Roberts moved approval of the AG2→R40 rezoning and Commissioner Martin seconded; commissioners asked staff to clarify why staff recommendations and the planning commission vote differed in one of the forms. After discussion the commission called the question and recorded votes to approve both rezoning resolutions. The chair announced the measures passed.
The planning documentation and tax-map references were placed into the meeting packet for public record. The rezoning approvals will be reflected in the county's zoning map and permits for subsequent parcel division may follow the recorded changes.
