She provided July statistics: 73 delinquency hearings, 34 inquiry hearings, seven pretrials and seven disposition hearings; in district court staff processed 573 civil infractions, 190 misdemeanor charges and 66 felony charges for the month.
Amy Edsel introduced Kelly Ward, the newly promoted quality-assurance specialist for juvenile services. Ward described her role ensuring evidence-based assessments and consistent case planning, noting she had conducted 28 detention-screening tools and 25 Youth Level of Service (YLS) assessments since starting July 1 to track needs and support funding compliance through the Michigan Childcare Fund.
