Emergency management official Francis asked the board to approve Eaton County's participation in the fiscal year 2025 Homeland Security Grant program as a Region 1 subrecipient. Francis told commissioners Eaton County has been allocated $33,150.26 to support planning, training, exercises, emergency-response equipment, interoperability projects and eligible personnel costs.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the resolution by voice vote. Francis said the grant performance period runs through May 31, 2028, allowing the county and regional partners multi-year time to complete approved projects.
