The Livingston Township Council opened public hearings and adopted three ordinances on Aug. 11, 2026: Ordinance 26-2026 (adopting a redevelopment plan for 156 East Cedar Street, Block 3000 Lot 1.01), Ordinance 27-2026 (amending water meters and meter use charges in Chapter 3-16 of the township code) and Ordinance 28-2026 (amending sewer fees and charges in Chapter 2-51).
Clerk read the titles and the council opened and closed the hearings. After motions to adopt, the clerk called the roll for each ordinance and the council recorded affirmative roll-call votes. The ordinances were carried by the council vote on second reading/adoption.
The redevelopment ordinance (26-2026) was read pursuant to NJSA 40A:12A-1; the clerk announced the public hearing and the council adopted the ordinance in a recorded roll call. Ordinance 27-2026 (water meter charges) and Ordinance 28-2026 (sewer fees) were similarly presented, opened for public comment (no speakers were recorded), and adopted by roll call.
