Students from Namaste Global highlight Indian American contributions to science at Livingston council meeting

"I'm Jyoti, and along with our team…we are here to share some more research," said Jyoti (Namaste Global), who introduced presenters and organizers. The group cited historical figures such as Brahmagupta and Aryabhata and modern leaders including scientists honored with major prizes and Indian American leaders in technology and space.
Presenter Amrita emphasized youth engagement and role models: "On India's Independence Day, the youth of Namaste Global are excited to present the remarkable contributions of Indian Americans in STEM innovation and space exploration," and student speakers named role models such as Kalpana Chawla and described local aspirations for future scientists. The mayor thanked the presenters and reminded the public of a flag-raising ceremony on Saturday at 10:00 at town hall.
The presentation included an explicit roster of participating students and framed the program as part of Livingston's annual cultural observances.
