Canton Township supervisors voted Nov. 14 to request a Statewide LSA grant of $195,000 to replace culverts on Miller Road and to commit $100,000 in local cash as the required match. The board approved Resolution 7 of 2024 to seek the grant and later approved a separate motion to obligate the local funds; both motions passed unanimously.
Township engineer Harshman CE Group is preparing a GP-7 permit and cost estimates for the Miller Road improvements and has drafted grant applications to multiple sources, including State LSA, local LSA and PennDOT Multimodal programs. The board recorded the motions as: motion to approve Resolution 7 of 2024 (mover: Tom Bodnovich; second: Richard Horner) and motion to commit $100,000.00 local match (mover: Richard Horner; second: Tom Bodnovich).
