County staff said the original agreement would have expired at the end of 2027 and that slower-than-expected growth in HR system users required renegotiation of fees; the extension covers June 27, 2027, through June 28, 2028 at a cost of $142,446 to be paid from the contractual purchase service account.
A staff member summarized the reason for the extension: "So our original agreement with NeoGov would expire at the end of '27... so, actually, what we're trying to do is extend it an additional year," and added that NeoGov asked for an extension while fees were renegotiated. Commissioners voted to approve the extension.
