Township engineer seeks DCED grant for West Wylie Park, updates on MS4 work and culvert permitting

Sam Carroll of Harshman CE Group briefed the board on multiple active engineering projects. Carroll said HCEG is preparing a DCED grant submittal for Phase 1 improvements at West Wylie Park and will conduct site investigations and trail‑route design over spring and summer for possible construction in the fall. Carroll also noted a completed drone survey for the Logpile Run/Weirich Avenue MS4 stream restoration project and that a wetland delineation is to be scheduled.
On road projects, HCEG is preparing a GP‑7 permit for culvert replacements on Miller Road and has applied for several grants (State LSA, Local LSA, PennDOT Multimodal) to fund materials pending decisions. Carroll said draft Act 537 flow projections have been shared with WEWJA for a planned regional Act 537 submission and that the Rex Road slide‑wall option would be costly, prompting alternate design work.
