Stafford Road project wins conditional backing, board asks for clearer landscaping and technical responses
Summary
The board reviewed design updates for TD Realty's 1248 Stafford Road and praised architectural improvements but delayed final sign-off pending a supplemental landscaping plan and fuller responses to Weston's and Sampson's technical comments; the applicant agreed to provide the materials for review at the next hearing.

Attorney Matthew Landry and applicant Tim DeSilva presented revised architectural renderings and responses to the board's technical comments for TD Realty's proposed office and storage building at 1248 Stafford Road.
Landry emphasized that the updated design softens an earlier metal-box look with a New England‑style façade. Board members welcomed the changes but requested additional landscaping, better stormwater details and clarity on where septic and sand filter systems would sit relative to abutters. "We'll collect any of the water that comes off the new roof... and treat that," project engineer Bill Smith said while describing planned infiltration and a sand-filter septic system that will be inset from the property line.
The board debated whether the final landscaping plan should be approved administratively or returned to the full board; the applicant agreed to supplement the landscaping and provide revised plans to Weston & Sampson for review. Rather than finalize approvals the board continued the item to the next meeting so members could review the additional documentation and allow Weston & Sampson to confirm outstanding technical matters.
