Health department marks 30 years for infectious-disease leader Marla Wirtz

Fisher noted Wirtz began her county career on 1996-04-01 and described her work in Bright Beginnings/what the department now calls the Nurse Family Partnership and later in infectious disease and tuberculosis programs. "Marla's opinion is both valued and sought by both the community, her peers, and our staff," Fisher said.
Fisher emphasized Wirtz's steady leadership during the pandemic and her role supervising infectious-disease response and support to clients and staff.
