During the Aug. 10 meeting staff announced that the first public meeting for the Fort Worth preservation plan update will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LMA Chamblee Library. Staff invited commissioners and the public to attend and take part in the update process.
Commissioners also welcomed Nathan Bevel as the department's new historic preservation senior planner. The announcement included contact information and a reminder that the meeting agenda and speaker-registration instructions are posted on the city's website.
