Parks official: Wilma P. Mankiller Capital Park seeing strong attendance, reservation system planned

Secretary Christina Justice told the council that Wilma P. Mankiller Capital Park has become a popular community amenity, recording strong visitor numbers and programming.
"They're having around they're having over 4,500 visits per month, which is really great," Justice said, noting the park ran 22 programs in the last reporting period and staff are developing a reservation system to allow public bookings for parties and events.
Justice said the facility is currently open to limited internal use but will be rolled out to the public once safety items and the reservation platform are in place. No firm public-launch date was provided.
