Council awards Lift Station D and force main replacement contract to Liberty Civil
Summary

City staff presented the bid tabulation for the Lift Station D and force main replacement project and recommended awarding the base bid plus an alternate to Liberty Civil Construction, the low bidder. Gary of the Utility Engineering Group said the firm had provided required documentation and acceptable qualifications and that references were checked.
Gary explained the alternate would allow the system to bypass Lift Station B and tie the flows into the Bertram Oaks gravity system. After council questions, a council member moved to award the contract to Liberty Civil Construction and the motion passed. Staff said contracts are ready to go and, following award, will be sent for execution and preparation of a notice to proceed for construction.
