Board approves final paperwork to release remaining TAP grant funds for Main Street enhancement project

The Village Board voted to approve Supplemental Agreement No. 3 related to D040761, the TAP grant-funded Fairport Main Street enhancement project. Staff explained the supplemental agreement is the final administrative step required by New York State to release the remaining federal funds after contract approvals and inspections.
"We submitted all the planning documents. They approved them. They released that money through supplemental 1... Now this is the final all the last bits and pieces were submitted to New York State for approval and they are going to release the funds with the signing of this document," staff said during the meeting. A companion resolution clarified that the village will initially fund eligible costs and be reimbursed when state and federal funds are released.
The motions passed unanimously. The board also approved a related resolution authorizing implementation and appropriation of 100% of initial federal and state‑aid eligible costs for the transportation project.
