The Pierz City Council approved several planning and exempt-permit requests during its July 27 meeting. Council moved to approve a backyard chickens license application for Brittany and Gauge Pauly at 120 Edward St S and approved sidewalk work for Holy Trinity School at 80 Edward St S. The council also approved exempt permits for fundraising and events by the Pierz Lions and Holy Trinity covering dates from August 2026 through April 2027.
On a separate planning item, Council Member Lynn Egan moved and Council Member Sarah Fyten seconded a motion to deny Greg Fuhrman’s request for a new construction shed at 304 Cassie St; the council recorded that Mr. Fuhrman must file a formal variance request to proceed. All motions were recorded as carried unanimously.
