Incident-reporting working group to hold public forums Sept. 4 and Sept. 8 after legal review

Pablo, speaking for the incident-reporting working group, said the group has completed legal review with Town Counsel focused on confidentiality and redactions and is preparing public outreach. He said the working group will hold two public forums to explain the system and obtain feedback: a daytime forum as part of the League of Women Voters First Friday on Sept. 4 and a second evening session on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Town House. "We're gonna be having 2 public forums where we'll be explaining all of the issues related to the system and, importantly, getting public feedback," he said.
Pablo said invitations are extended to potential users and stakeholder groups and that the group will return its recommendations and any suggested tweaks to the Select Board after the forums; staff will then begin building and implementing the system, likely in mid-fall. He said public interaction has been limited to date and the forums are aimed at increasing community engagement and shaping confidentiality/redaction practices.
The chair urged broad outreach to ensure attendance, including communicating through school and town channels.
