CPC announces Sept. 18 application deadline, Oct. 3 site visits and Nov. 13 letters-of-support deadline

Diane Proctor, speaking for the Community Preservation Committee, said the CPC’s recent public hearing drew many prospective applicants and reminded potential applicants the application deadline this year is Sept. 18 at noon. She encouraged applicants who lack fully developed budgets to contact staff for help and named Anne Clifford as the CPC staff liaison who can assist with form questions.
Proctor said site visits for applicants will occur Saturday, Oct. 3, and invited members of the public to join those visits. She also asked that letters of support for projects be submitted by Nov. 13. Proctor noted last year’s CPC budget was unusually large because the committee recovered previously unspent allocations and cautioned that available funds will be more limited this year.
The CPC plans to begin deliberations over the winter and asked residents to use the town website for application instructions and forms.
