Planning staff described ordinance 2026‑16 and resolution 2026‑50 for Iris Place, which proposes demolition of existing structures and construction of five new multifamily buildings (2–3 stories) totaling 144 units on 7.68 acres. Staff said the applications included MOS requests nearly identical to those granted for Denson Place — reduced parking minimums and an adjustment to natural‑area requirements paired with a 15% total open‑space commitment — and recommended approval with conditions based on the applicant's parking memo and precedent.
The board moved, seconded and approved the rezoning and the development plan. The motions and MOS approvals were recorded as unanimous; the planning commission had also recommended approval. The vote clears the project to proceed to plan and permit review consistent with the approved PD and MOS conditions.
