Okawville board puts waterline and sewer projects out to bid

The Okawville Board of Trustees voted to solicit bids for two municipal infrastructure projects. Trustee Nathan Dick moved to put the waterline replacement project 2025.125 (E. Walnut St, N. Nashville St, S. Sparta St, and S. Front St) out for bid; Trustee Scott Cragen seconded and the roll-call vote was unanimous.
Trustee Dick also moved, seconded by Trustee Brett Heberer, to put sewer line replacement project 2026.15 (a sanitary sewer main replacement along Walnut Hill Road) out for bid. That motion likewise passed with all trustees voting yes. The board did not adopt final contracts at this meeting; the motions authorize staff to begin the competitive-bid process.
