The Okawville Board of Trustees approved accepting a bid from Core & Main to update village water meters to radio-read units at a cost not to exceed $125,000. Trustee Nathan Dick moved the measure and Trustee Scott Cragen seconded; the roll call was unanimous in favor.
Separately, the board approved a TIF request from the Village of Okawville to install radio-read meters within the village’s TIF District, specifying that 166 of the district’s 695 meters would be included under the TIF request. The measure passed with unanimous support, and the TIF allocation will cover meter installations within that portion of the district.
