Okawville board approves February minutes, reschedules May events

The Okawville Board of Trustees accepted the February minutes during its March 30 meeting. Trustee Nathan Dick moved to approve the minutes and Trustee Donna Davis seconded; all six trustees voted yes.
The board also adjusted two May calendar items because of the Memorial Day holiday. Trustee Scott Cragen moved and Trustee Nathan Dick seconded a motion to move the May dumpster event from May 23, 2026 to May 16, 2026; the motion passed unanimously. Later in the meeting, Trustee Dick moved — and Trustee Cragen seconded — to change the regular May meeting date from Monday, May 25, 2026 to Tuesday, May 26, 2026 to improve trustee attendance. Trustees Cragen, Davis, Dick, Heberer and Kink voted yes; Trustee Parker abstained. The motion carried 5–0–1.
The board recorded attendance and other routine business at the start of the meeting. Clerk Dawn Moyer documented that Mayor David Jasper and six trustees were present.
