The Chesapeake Bay Board heard a presentation Aug. 11 on CBPA26-0081, a request to construct a 12-by-30-foot carport at 8629 Diascon Road, and voted to accept a request to defer consideration after the applicant could not attend.
Emily Grojeau explained the proposal and mitigation (six shrubs to meet the 0.5 planting-unit requirement) and noted the project had been previously heard in a different location on the parcel. Board members asked whether the existing pole barn could serve the need or whether the structure might be pulled back; because the applicant was not present to explain the intended use, the board voted to accept the applicant's deferral request as conveyed by staff. "The applicant could not make it this evening due to work conflicts, but I am able to defer on their behalf," Grojeau said.
The motion to accept the deferral passed by roll-call vote; the item will be returned to a future docket when the applicant can appear or request a re-notice.
