Court approves RFP for sheriff/EMA building design and survey for Hope/Hogue Hollow

County administrator Julia Wagner presented two near-term procurement actions and the court approved both.
Wagner asked the court to publish a draft RFP seeking architectural and engineering design services for the new sheriff and Emergency Management Agency facility to be located in the old post office on Walnut Street. She said the RFP will be publicized immediately if the court approved publication; the court voted to authorize issuing the RFP for bid.
Wagner also presented a county surveyor's estimate to resolve deed discrepancies related to the Hope (Hogue) Hollow property. The surveyor estimated a worst-case cost of $18,700 given the need to research historical records; the court approved proceeding with the survey so the county can be sure what it will acquire.
