Board: Pickleball/Skate Park bathroom fixed, staff monitoring through winter

Parks staff told the board they have repaired a winter water break at the Pickleball and Skate Park restroom and installed a new, more efficient electric heater. "Ryan and I and Ray put our heads together and, naturally we got it fixed and shut the water off," a staff member said, and staff added that the bathroom is monitored on weekends to keep it available to users.

Board members said residents appreciate the restroom being open in cold weather and noted camera placement has helped reduce vandalism. The board also discussed snow‑clearing policy on trails, saying the city does not perform widespread trail scraping because the insurance carrier has cautioned that clearing could increase liability if someone slips; the board advised users to exercise caution where shaded trail sections remain icy.
