Staff presented PB‑2026‑005, which would allow adult‑entertainment uses to front specified industrial/commercial streets with a 300‑foot separation (measured along pedestrian path) from sensitive uses such as parks, schools and churches, and with conditions addressing security and hours. Board members questioned the 300‑foot standard (noting it is substantially shorter than some prior 1,000‑foot or larger separations), the choice of specific streets and whether multiple establishments could cluster. Staff said industry representatives had been consulted and that the proposed area was identified where the industry believes the use could operate without direct conflicts.
Concerned members asked staff to provide maps that show candidate parcels and to research how neighboring municipalities regulate spacing, hours and clustering. The board voted to table the ordinance and return with that additional information.
