The commission acknowledged the county’s Office of Emergency Management and related teams for their work during the Foresight Fire. Chair presented a thank-you card and commissioners spoke about on-scene efforts and community donations; one commissioner noted donation and transport of cases of Gatorade to support crews working the incident.
Separately, Adele Murphy introduced Wendy Reber from the Assessor's Office and described Reber's 25 years of county service, her roles (personal property appraiser, vehicle registrations, cash-assessed mobile homes) and her reputation for outstanding customer service. Murphy and commissioners gave light-hearted remarks and thanks for Reber’s long service; Reber was described as a reliable point person for business owners and taxpayers.
