Granbury council approves voluntary annexation for Red Cedar LLC

The Granbury City Council approved a voluntary annexation of 5.413 acres at 4102 Glen Rose Highway for Red Cedar LLC, adopting Ordinance No. 26-52 on a 6–0 voice vote. Mayor presided over the joint meeting with the Planning & Zoning Commission, opened the public hearing and closed it after staff and commissioners reported no public speakers. "Do I hear a motion to approve the annexation of 5.413 acres of the Thomas Price survey, abstract number 439, Hood County, Texas," the presiding official said before the motion carried.

Community Development Director Cody Nolan told the council the property lies outside current city limits but falls within the city’s annexation boundary and that staff recommended approval. Nolan described the parcel as part of the county-assigned addresses and noted the standard options for council to approve or deny the annexation. With no written comments submitted to staff and no speakers at the hearing, the council approved the ordinance. The annexation will bring the specified acreage into Granbury city limits; the agenda did not include immediate local-code or service commitments tied to the vote.
