Lauren Gillingham Teague of the Community Development Department presented Ordinance 26-32 to create the new MGP Grand Park District, applicable only within the Grand Park master-planned area. “This district is only applicable to this specific geographic area,” Teague said, describing that the new straight zoning replaces prior PUD designations within the Grand Park boundaries.
The ordinance was on second hearing and eligible for adoption; Councilor Waniger moved and Councilor McCarty seconded the motion. The council voted on roll call and approved the ordinance 7-0. The change standardizes zoning in the Grand Park area and will be used alongside future site- and infrastructure-level approvals handled through other proceedings.
The item was treated as final adoption; staff indicated the geographic map and district details will remain available in future public materials and packets.
