Superintendent reports records cleanup, vehicle replacements and $9.3M-plus in evidence-based funding

On state funding, Dr. Bell reported, "Peoria Public Schools is earmarked to receive above last year's allocation an additional 9.3 plus million dollars over last year's evidence based funding allocation." She framed that as positive news for staffing and student supports. The board discussed whether action was required for vehicle purchases and Dr. Bell said final purchases would come back to the board as action items.
Dr. Bell also provided a FOIA update, saying the district had received eight new requests since the July 27 board report and currently had nine open requests, with 60 total in 2026 and an estimated total cost of $3,000 for the year's requests.
