County approves Beeler Consulting addendum to fund interim CEO at Pratt Regional Medical Center

The board approved an amendment to the consulting services agreement with Beeler Consulting to facilitate the placement of an interim chief executive officer at Pratt Regional Medical Center (PRMC). The addendum says the county supports retention of the consultant-recommended interim CEO and agrees to pay the professional fees and related expenses for that interim CEO, "such expenses not to exceed $2,000 per month," according to the reading of the addendum.
A commissioner explained the county is advancing these payments because PRMC currently lacks funds and the county's goal is to prevent closure of local health-care services while stabilizing management. The motion to approve the amendment passed; board members said they expect a public hearing with the consultant and interim CEO once the placement is underway.
