The Public Works Committee authorized SRF to begin a traffic impact analysis for a proposed Pet Supplies Plus at 3415 Parmenter Street, a redevelopment of a former used‑car lot.
Ben said the scope of the TIA will focus on access and location and will not change the site’s zoning or driveway entrances. “So the project isn't changing in terms of the zoning classification and the driveway entrances are staying essentially the same,” Ben said, noting the land use is changing from a used‑car dealership to a commercial pet store and that SRF will assess differences in anticipated foot and car traffic.
The committee approved the authorization with a motion to proceed once developer funds are deposited to cover the TIA. Staff said findings will inform design review and any recommended changes to access or traffic controls.
