Dr. Roberts presented the results of a board policy audit and the TASB (Texas Association of School Boards) policy review. According to the minutes, 54 of 56 proposed local policy updates were approved without change. One policy (CI Local) was denied and will remain unchanged, and another was approved with an amendment to impose a limit of two consecutive three-year terms (six years) for board officers serving in the same position.
Following the presentation, the board moved to add, revise and delete local policies in accordance with the TASB review as revised. Trustee Elizabeth O'Donnell moved the action and Lindsey Abell seconded a separate motion to remove CI and BDAA from the list of proposed changes; both motions, as revised, passed 7–0. The minutes do not list the full text of the policies under consideration or implementation dates.
