The Village of Olympia Fields Board reaffirmed its Snow and Ice Service Level Agreement at the Jan. 21 meeting.
Public Works Director Art Jones explained the operational priorities: main thoroughfares are plowed first and each Public Works employee is assigned a route. Director Jones told trustees the Village has already used twice as much salt this year as last year. Administrator Jessica Washington reminded residents that Metra-owned parking lots are Metra’s responsibility. Police Chief Derrick Blasingame reminded residents that on-street parking is prohibited after a snowfall of three inches or more. Trustees approved the reaffirmation 6–0.
