Olympia Fields gets clean audit; board approves $818K in bills

The Village of Olympia Fields Board of Trustees accepted an audit report and approved routine financial actions at its Jan. 21 meeting.
Nick Bava of auditing firm Sikich LLP reported the audit produced “no findings,” giving the Village a clean opinion and noting the Village maintains a reserve equivalent to about eight to nine months of operating costs. Finance Director Lisa Fifer-Smith was thanked for her team’s preparation. Trustees then approved payment of January 2026 bills in the amount of $817,981.80 on a 6–0 vote and approved the Dec. 17, 2025 minutes (motion carried with a 5–0 vote and one abstention by Trustee Jennifer Beasley).
